I'm thinking that the easiest & cheapest way for me to mount an LCD TV is a drop down mount under the front cabinets. I have found the 2 below and am curious if anyone has used them and if so--how did you like them?

We had a 32in LCD TV installed with a ceiling mount in front of the old TV. We ordered the mount on-line from Costco. It was $99 and works well.

Verify from the manufacturer that they/it is designed to support not just the static weight of the TV in the stored position but also to handle the additional loads of bouncing down the road (a VERY different design criteria).
And please do keep us posted-- this is a good option for many of us. Thanks.

Good point, Brett. Also be sure to bolt it into an adequately strong framing member.

What locks it in the "up" position? That pin at the front looks like it controls the swivel. I'd be affraid one good bump would let it drop into the "down" viewing position even if somebody's head was in the path.

I am going to mount a small ( 20" ) LCD under our cabinet with one of these.
We'll see how it works.
Let us know what you do and how yours works please.
Take care.

Deputy Chief P.O.--What was the name/model# of the unit you used.
wolfe10--I had emailed the RBWStore and they said it locks permanently in place when up and can handle the 'moving down the road' load (of course--what else would they say). It was made with RV's in mind.
I emailed the other co. over the weekend and haven't heard back yet.
Sure was hoping I would find someone that has used either one. I'm trying to find a place that carries them so I can actually see it.
Thanks

tomousecap--I checked your site and that setup is way too big for us. I'd be knocking my head all the time. :>)
