Where? The Villages At Turning Stone, near Verona, NY

When? September 25th - 28th, 2008

Who? This Gathering, as all of our Gatherings, is open to EVERYONE. It is not camper specific. If Turning Stone allows your unit on their property, we want to see you there.

Join folks in beautiful Central New York State during the apple picking season at a fantastic RV destination. No better location exists for this Gathering as the area offers endless recreational opportunities, and you camp in a spectacular RV Resort.

This is a great time of year to visit this part of New York State. Just a few days after the official start of the Fall season.

There is a lot to do in this area, or, if you prefer, there is a lot of relaxing to be done in a great spot. (The Syracuse RV Show is usually held on this weekend at the fair grounds in Syracuse, NY.)

Like history? TONS of it in this area. Baseball Hall of Fame is not far away. Remington Arms is nearby. Great freshwater fishing is nearby. Test your fishing skills during the salmon run!

World-Class golf courses are located at Turning Stone. The PGA Tour makes a stop here! (The former BC Open)

Heck...we enjoy the drive along the NY State Thruway that time of year as it parallels the Mohawk River/Erie/Barge Canal waterway.

Can you say "Foliage"? Do you know the words to the Erie Canal Song?

During that time of year, the days are usually just warm enough to go with no sweater, and the clear, crisp cool nights hint at the Winter to come.

This Gathering usually boasts some of the BEST potluck food ever!

Did I mention that The Villages At Turning Stone is one of, if not the highest rated camping resorts in the Northeast?

Don't forget the casino if that's your thing.

Ask Farmer Brown nicely, and I bet he offers up a tour of a dairy farm.

Do the brewery tour in Utica! Saranac Beer brewed here!

Leann Rimes is scheduled to perform there on Saturday, September 27th, and tickets, if available, can be purchased HERE.

Once again, we have arranged for sites 402 - 424 along the pond. (See map below)

Not sure if Team Herewego be able to attend this year, and I've asked Bruce and Jill Brown to step in and be your hosts, just in case. This has become one of, if not our favorite Gathering of the year and I am truly disappointed we may not be able to attend.

Sites are blocked off for Friday through Sunday, so if you would like to come in earlier, or stay later, feel free.

Sign up for a fantastic camping weekend, in a fantastic location, with a bunch of fantastic people.*****

I've had inquiries from a couple of forum members that have never attended and encourage them to sign up and attend, as well.

*****Not sure if Larry is attending.

Jim, we will be there and everyone that is attending...............bring your Fantastic!!!

Once again, we will be going to the buffet at the casino on Friday night to celebrate Linda's birthday. If anyone wants to join us, you are welcome to come along. I assume by this that the potluck will be scheduled for Saturday night as in the past. However, if I am jumping the gun Bruce/Jill, please let me know.

We had so much fun at the spring gathering that we wouldn't miss this one. We will plan on arriving Fri mid afternoon. By the way, since you now know we are only minutes away from the casino, if you need anything done let us know. Barry and Laura.
