vgoulette said: Is it just a West Texas thing, or is everybody in Texas "fixin' to" when they are about to do something???? I LOVE Texas colloquialisms -- and I was "born and raised here."

I’m "fixin' to" go to work, no it’s said here in Georgia as well.

I think that "I might as well" means that I have just as much responsibility to perform a given task as the next person, so I'll just do it instead of waiting around for someone else to do it.

The one that irritates me the most is "I COULD care less" when what someone actually means is "I COULDN'T care less". To say that you could care less means that you actually have some amount of concern.
