So we did a 2 nighter back in June and all seemed OK with our new HTT. We just returned from a 13 nighter and as we spent more time in HTT, we discoverd 5 holes in the bunk ends. 3 on one side and 2 on the other. All are a littler larger than a pen, perhaps as big as a wooden match. I had a Starcraft pop-up for 5 years and never experienced anything like this. All the holes are near the posts, either the middle one that you remove or the back one that flops down. I'm bringing it to the dealer tomorrow...I wonder what they are going to do. Anyone ever see this before? I'm real carefull in closing it and have no idea what would cause such holes.

I'd be looking all around the area where the holes are to see if I could find any sharp burrs of metal, screw heads, or something that would cause the holes. I think you'd have to find a manufacturing defect in order to have grounds to get new canvas. Since the holes are near posts....seems like either the posts, or something that remains when the posts are removed must be the culprit....so get out a really strong flashlight and start looking like the guys on CSI!

Yes -we noticed a couple on ours but they were so small we didn't even see them until after it was reasonable to have the dealer fix them. They seem to match 2 areas on the top of the trailer that the canvas was up against when closed - probably since when it was made. Almost like rust spots that made small holes. There are repair kits that glue on canvas patches - if the dealer won't fix them its best to do a home repair while they are small.

UPDATE - the JAYCO dealer called and they have ordered new canvas for me. it's going to take 6 weeks to get it in but that is fine with me, I'll pick it up and continue camping and bring it back in the fall for them to work on. Maybe even leave it there for the winter and get myself some free storage
I also had some minor issues with water tap leaking and antenna crank not working properly and they fixed those for me. I'm happy I bought a Jayco and from a local dealer.

I'd be changing the kitchen faucet. The cheap plastic one from Jayco turned into a geiser for us. Picked up a nice chrome one from Home Depot and installed in about 10 minutes

Yes, but did they find the cause of the holes? New canvas won't do any better if there is something abrasive in the way.
