I am truly out of shape. Had the grandson, and my grand nephew, both under two years old for about 3 hours today. Man am I tired. They both wore me out.

LOL I can relate! I had my great niece & nephew (6 & 5) here for a three day/two night visit last week and I'm still recovering. Ain't it great though?

Don't need to be out of shape to be weary, after taking care of a couple of 2 year old's.

That would be my comment. Ask any parent of a two year old about being tired. And when there is two, the energy needed to watch them more thna doubles. There is a reason why they are so willing to give their little bundle of joy away to someone (anyone!) for a few hours...

It was fun to a certain point. It became a problem when they both decided to go in different directions, who to corral first? I went for the youngest one.

I forgot how fast children that young can move.

I take my hat off to my wife, she has a harder job than I do, she has kept both grandkids since the day their mothers went back to work. Let's see Morgan is 3+ and Dillon is coming up on One...she keeps them 9+ hours a day 5 days a week buy herself, and they go home happy...

years ago one of the big magazines, like Life or Look (remember those?), had a college athelete follow a 2 year old for a day. This guy was in tip top shape and accustomed to lots of exercise. He was done for in a matter of hours while the little guy was just getting his stride!!! It was funny.
Only someone without kids can wonder why God gives kids to young people. I really feel sorry for those women who think it would be neat to have kids in their 50's and 60's. YUK!!!!!!

You grandparents forget about parenting after not being the parents of young kids for 20 years. You can't keep up with a kid, don't even try...

I know how you feel. #1 daughter came up to help her mom after her surgery a few weeks ago. She came with #2 grandson, 8 yrs. old, #7 grandson, 1.5 yrs. old and youngest grand daughter, 3 mos. old. I was wore out from her coming to help. She was here 4 days
