There is a small campground on Johnson Dr.-off i-35. It is closer than Worlds of Fun.

My daughter lives close to it. so I am familar with the area.
Remember Radar on Mash=the tv show=Gary Bergof (sp) parked his motorhome here when he was performing at the diner theatre in Overland Park, Ks

If you want out of the way just a bit (25 miles or so) Weston State Park has a very nice campground. There are others around as well. Try this link too MISSOURI RV PARKS. Look in the section for NW Campgrounds.
