You are in a great spot. You have nothing to trade so you should get a much better deal. On this (or any other coach) I would look at NADAs low-retail price and take off AT LEAST an additional 15%. Four years ago I bought a'99 Class A that the dealer had listed for $44,995 reduced to $39,995...I got it for $31,000. I just told the dealer that is all I could afford and attempted to walk away. Sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't...It worked for me.

We have an ’02 Winnie Adventurer. It’s not the fanciest rig on the road, but
it suits us perfectly (everything we want and nothing we don’t). It has been totally trouble-free for us. Couldn’t really ask for more.

I’d be very suspicious of the $32K price – seems way too low. However, IF it’s legit and it hasn’t been flooded, isn’t stolen or some such, that’s the deal of a lifetime.

We have a 2005 Itasca Sucruiser 35A (sister ship to the Adventurer) with the Workhorse W-22 chassis and the Allsion 5 speed tranny. We find it to be a great coach.

We have had no major problems with either the chassis (24,000 miles) or the coach work. The floor plan provides a lot of interior room and we are able to store everything we need in the compartments. We are typical weekenders with a couple of 7-10 day trips a year thrown in. We have consistantly got between 6-7 mpg when towing our Jeep. Perhaps it could be increased if you keep a lighter touch on the load pedal, but I am usually in a hurry. The listed CCC is about 1500 pounds, which has been enough for us.

How to know if its a fair price? That I can't help you with.

If you can strike the right bargin and you get a unit that was cared for, you will be happy with the unit. Good luck

If it's listed in the Yellow Pages, the government shouldn't be messing around with it.

Dan, I own a 2004 Winnebago WGO - 35 - U, I called my dealer and he told me $72,000.00 to $75,000.00 is what the trade in value would be. I bought the coach in 04 for $99,000.00 . If you can pick up an 05 at the mid $30,000.00 range go for it. John

I tried getting in touch with the owner several times with no repsonse. I guess it to good of a deal to be true. Anyway, I didn't know how much these units go for until I stated to do some research. I wonder if advertisements was a fake or the unit was sold.

That price sounds unreal for that year model--most Winnies in that size that I have found are going for $30 to $35K for '01 and '02 years models. If it not a scam it's a very good deal.

Dan,

The price is too low. Be very careful when buying used. The Winny is a nice moto.

I bought used and the one thing I had to have was the service records.
This tells you how well the owner took care of it and what was done. I turned two down because they could not give me any records,

This is a buyers market so make very low offers. Look it over then look some more. Drive it. I drove the one I bought around 60 miles. Some interstate but most on state roads. After you drive it look for leaks.

Hope this helps and good luck.
