The inside back wall, of my Norcold 4 door refrigerator, gets filled with black marks from my beverages that are laying flat, on the shelves. Before my last trip, of 4,800 miles,I completely emptied the refrigerator by taking the side trim pieces off, then the shelves and bins out. It took quite a bit of scrubbing with comet to remove all the black marks and swirls. Before leaving on the trip, this time we put aluminum foil against the back wall thinking it would keep the cans and bottles from rubbing and transferring the black marks. This did not work. It looked worse then our last long trip.
Are there any tricks to keep this from happening?
Thanks,
Tom

Aluminum by it self will give you black marks. Perhaps dropping the foil or aluminum containers, will reduce the marks. Perhaps Tupperware or plastic storage containers would be a little better choice. If you find you need to use aluminum try putting it in a Ziploc bag first. Bill

Why not just stand up the beverages. They do not need to lie flat.

I stand our cans in a small plastic bin about 1 1/2" deep that holds 6 cans - no marks that way since they do not quite touch the walls. You can find the bins at KMart, usually. They are meant for other things but work for this!!

I do the same thing with a tupperware plastic bread bin. I can get about nine or ten cans in it.

Comet will scratch the surface making it even harder to clean. Use plastic polish.
If it really bugs you, do what my S/O does....wrap 'em in cling wrap---it works....
