I posted this on the Class A site but it's probably better here. Has anyone been successful at finding fitted couch covers for 68" couches? We're traveling with a cat and dog and are picking up a new coach with two leather couches. We've used towels but they slip on leather and would like to get fitted. All suggestions welcome.
I went to a store that sells fabric and found the perfect match to our sofas. I cut the same size as the seat plus some to tuck in the back and go down the front a few inches. I put it on upside down and pinned a tuck in the front cornors to make it fit tightly.
Flipped it over and tucked it in back.
And I forgot the side hems.
Even without a sewing machine it would take only a few minutes of work.
I got tired of having to use covers for my furniture and I finally switched to all leather furniture in my house and unless your dogs have long nails they won't ruin it. My one leather couch that went thru 4 Great Danes and 2 toy dogs looked like brand new after 8 years.
No need to cover leather, that's the bonus of it!
One thing though I was looking at new Class A's and the salesmen kept referring to the 'leather' furniture in the coaches when actually they were that new stuff that 'looks' like leather. I had to make them pull out the invoice on some of them to show them that it was NOT real leather. I didn't like their tactics regarding this at all.
Their comment was it would wear the same as leather and it doesn't
The look alike leather does not wear as well with dogs.
Congrats on your new RV.
