I am sitting here watching Diane Sawyer's interviews with Randy Pausch and his wife. For those of you who might not know him--he is the former Carnagie Mellon professor who wrote a book called "The Last Lecture". It is a book about living with a terminal illness--ie. pancreatic cancer. He passed away last Friday. It hits close to home for me because I lost my dear mother to this terrible disease 3 years ago last Friday (a big coincidence). It is the most fatal of all cancers--about 98%.
There was an earlier thread on Randy Pausch. If you haven't read it, I would recommend that you read "The Last Lecture"--and it isn't because I am a librarian! It truly is an inspiring book.
He challenged readers and his students to decide how they are going to live their lives. Are you going to let life get you down (ie. Eeyore) or are you going to embrace and celebrate every day that you are alive (ie. Tigger)?
So, are you a Tigger or an Eeyore? I'll start it off. I am generally a Tigger, but right now, I am a bit of an Eeyore. How about you?

Eeyore, no doubt about it.
I can't stand to be around Tiggers very much.

What a toss up.....I have a beloved shirt that is at least 5 years old with a picture of Eeyore on it that say's it's all about me...just about perfect except Eeyore looks sad....
Now make a shirt that says It's all about me with Tigger jumping up and down with a big ole grin....and I'd say that pretty much sums it up

Do I have to be at one extreme or another? Can't I be a realist? Would that make me a Christopher Robin?

Mandrake, I would have NEVER guessed that you were a Tigger!!
Nothing bad will happen to you if you are one or the other or a combination. It is just a choice as to how you live your life. I am really a combination of both, but I am definitely more of a Tigger. I tend to have a positive outlook on life and try to smile about something everyday. I tend to be shy when I first meet you and then I become very outgoing. Camping definitely makes me a Tigger! I am so very happy when I am camping with DH and really look forward to being able to do it full time.

80% Tigger here so that leaves 20% for a combination of Hello Kitty & Eeyore.
