Does anybody who has used the Sewer Solution system have anything good or bad to say about it? Frankly, after hearing the description of it, I have my doubts about it. But it seems about half the cost of a macerator & doesn't have the moving mechanical parts. Are there other brands/systems WITHOUT moving mechanical parts?
Thanks
Wilbur Noland

Have been a VERY satisfied user for 5 years. I may run a little slower but it is very effective. The water stream that enters the discharge if very powerful and breaks up "stuff" very well. No more stinky slinky to contend with. The discharge hose is a smooth bore and running water through it ensures that it is cleaned out. No corrugated ridges as in normal standard sewer hoses.

Yep, we've got a Sewer Solution we use every once in a while and it works as advertised. We're satisfied with it's performance.

I don't have one but the only problem I can see with this is the excessive amount of water a person uses to empty there dark tank, In some other states that have lots of water they don't care and don't rely on aqueducts to supply there water as Calif does and our state being in a drought right now water is at a premium.
I have and use a macerator, only a few times a year but rely on the campgrounds sewer system or where I store my trailer for dumping my tanks. the macerator is there when I need it, but it is no speed deman for dumping either. I prefer the standard sewer hose dumping system for speed.

I used the Sewer Solution for two years and never had a problem with it. It performed as advertised. Nevertheless, I recently had an RV Sani-Con installed and find that system to be much easier, faster more sanitary (relatively speaking). I always felt a little guilty for the amount of water the Sewer Solution used.

The Sewer Solution is the only method we have ever used for emptying our tanks. Takes about 2-3 minutes to empty both of our 35 gallon tanks. It is not intended to be a tank flushing system as the water flow is too small to backflush the tanks in a reasonable time.

a sewer solution is great if you rent full hookup sites every 3rd night (or how often you have to dump the black tank). what are your doubts? basically it is just a water powered macerator pump. mine worked fine until the "ears" broke off. I have heard that they have made them stronger but I think if I got a new one, I would silicone seal it to a short length of clear sewer coupling stuff so that that would take the brunt of the on/off force.
If you only use public dumps with crowds and no fitting on the end of the hose, don't get one.

as far as the amount of water used, IMHO it pales in comparison with those folks who use one of those silly back flushing jobbies where you repeatedly back fill and dump your tank.

I have one also, it does take a long time to empty two tanks on my TT and it does use a lot of water. it can not back flush and totally clean out the black tank although when you turn the knob it will continue to back fill the tank. I only use mine at home now, it just took too long to use at the cg. just my two cents.

if you are in a full hookup site, time to empty is not meaningful. if you use public dumps, a SS isn't for you anyway. and one thing that I liked when I had mine was I could just let the grey tank drain continuously when hooked up.

Ive had mine for over 2 years and have never needed to connect it to water except ONCE when I experienced a minor clog...only then I used the water jet...
