Thanks to a fellow camper, I got the itch to do a little pantry mod myself. It turned out to be a bit more than I expected, however, the results are well worth it. Cost was around $60. ">
Wait a minute... are trying to tell me that a mod took longer than you expected?
I can't believe that. What's next a mod costing more than you thought? LOL
Looks great, nice job. I wish I had my 5er stored at home so I could make more mods.
I think I need to copy you.
The Container Store has basket drawers like that that slide out and made of vinyl coated wire. I've wanted to try what you did for a while...where did you get the drawers, Home Depot?
2003 Jayco 308fbs eagle 33' tt, towed by a 2003 Ram 3500 slt, quad cab dually, cummins diesel ho, trailer towing package, with 6 speed manual. Hauls better 1/2, 3 kids, myself, and a 2003 ez go clays car.. I have added so far, neon lights, clearance lights, back up lights, black light, lift kit, mud tires, and everything necessary to make the golf cart street legal. It's now ready to spend the winter in the garage for more mods. More neon, strobe lights, alarm, a pa system, maintance, and whatever else that comes along. This golf cart does wheelies and travels thru 7 inches of mud when need be. Two honda eu2000i gens twinned to supply the electrical power. Latest addition an 04 Honda Goldwing. Slate, my rig came with those vinyl coated wire baskets on a sliding rack and they have a very limited storage capacity. I did what the original OP did and more then tripled my usable space. I built my boxes and mounted them with bottom center glides like he did. Here is the pantry I built DW loves the extra storage and the ease of access.

Nice job alpenliter! And the wire baskets would have been a lot easier, however, I looked for 1.5 yrs for one that what long enough. No luck, so I built them myself.
Polishnurse - the slide out shelves is the mod....now come on....if you are a nurse, I know you are really really smart! (Because I am one too!! LOL LOL)
I considered the baskets before I built mine but just could not find any that fit. They were all too big or too little.
I want to camp with you guys....You got all the good stuff in there...pop-tarts, pop-corn, little debbies mmmmmm!
