I think both Gulfstream and Jayco entry to mid level lines have similar fit and finish quality for a similar price. Take a look at a Bigfoot and your standards regarding fit and finish will change. We have a dealer nearby that added bigfoot to their line of gulfstreams and I think a lot of customers now leave unsatisfied because they see a Bigfoot that they can not afford, but Gulfstreams pale in comparison so they end up not buying anything.
It is of course best if your income goes up quite a bit to offset the price difference!

Remember that the gulf stream customer service is lousy, at least from my experience. When they say they are going to call you back don't sit by the phone. Then when you call them for the 5th time be prepared to explain everything from the beginning to the 5th different person you talk to.
Don't know about jayco Cust. service but they would have to work prety hard to be as bad or worse.

Can't comment on the Jayco model but I go with Jayco as a very satisfied Jayco customer. We've had two and have been pleased with the workmanship and the service plus the 2 yr warranty on the basic trailer.
Previously we had a Jay Flight 20BH. We just traded it in for our present Jay Flight G2 29RLS which we are so happy with...size, layout and equipment.
I have a friend that went with the Gulfstream and he seems to be satisfied but we still like Jayco.

It's said ignorance and apathy cause most of the world's problems, but I don't know and I don't care.

Might as well get another Jayco vote in there.. I thought there was leak issues with Gulfstream a while back, maybe do a search on that.
