Any reviews on National Park Retreats just outside the Rocky Mountain National Park?
We will be needing at least electricity for hookups, but full hookups are fine too. We will be traveling in a 28' TT (32' overall) so I figured we'd need one of their longer sites.
We are trying to find a nice quiet place with trees, I noticed the most recommended place on here (Elk Meadows?) does not have that many trees...?
We enjoyed Elk Meadows a few times. Don't remember trees, but I do remember an evening view of the clearest of skies. It takes a few days to acclimate to the elevation. Friendly people, and planned activities most days...a meal, a craft, a movie, etc. Wherever you stay, Estes is a great place to relax or adventure.
We stayed at National Park Retreats several years ago. We enjoyed it. Kind of steep but sites were level. Still wear a shirt with the logo, "I slept under the slab."
