I have a 2007 Maverick 1000 sl and haveing warranty work done on it. The out side shower head leaks and I ask them to fix it. The first time I picked it up they said they fixed it but when I tried using it, it leked just as bad. This is only one of many things they did not fix. They just called and said it was ready for me to pick up and I ask about the shower head. I was told that a new one was put on but it still leaked. When I asked why they told me that all shower heads in rvs leak. I am asking the question how many of you all have shower heads that leak. Thanks Bill

I'd throw down th BS flag. I've never heard of a cronic leaker. That's just an absolutely assenine statement for a dealer to make. Pardon my french.
No RV I've ever owned has lost a drop. Well, there at least.

Is it leaking from the valve (not closing) coming out the head? Or does it leak after you turn it off, at the connection of the hose to the faucet?

The Later is how it should be. It's a backflow device.

Mine never leaked, but over time it broke, seeing that the fiver is over 10 years old, thus nothing new will fit in the old compartment. No big deal though, as this feature was seldom used over the years.

As J&L Rivera indicated, you weren't specific about where the outside shower is leaking from. But, as Boatycall says, what the dealer told you was B.S. The shower should not leak, either from the faucet or the head. As per J&L Rivera also said, if you have a backflow preventer where the shower hose connects to the faucet, it would be normal for the valve to open and drain the shower hose once you turned the water off. But once the hose is emptied, the leaking should stop.

Oh.. OK, if your saying that you have the water ON and then turn the lever to stop the flow at the showerhead for the water saving feature... well then, Yes, I've never seen one not leak with pressure on them. Even the one at home.

Agreed. If the water valves turn off the water then don't worry about a bit of a drip from the shower head. My inside shower does the same and always has.

Pretty sure that's normal. Mine has been doing it for 15 years and I never thought of complaining about it. The lever on the shower head is just a gate, it's not a shut off valve. The only time there is pressure there is when you are taking a shower so why is there a problem with it 'leaking' a little?

You could do like my wife does - just let the thing run wide open like your at a hotel!

Sorry to keep posting but it is not just a drop. It is a steady leak so my pump keeps clicking on and off. I have set up a out side shower really a porta privy from pro bass and it works great for using the out side shower. I like to leave it on and turn it off at the shower head as I have it on the other side of the tc. We do a lot of boon docking and have never taken a shower inside. Thanks for the info Bill
