Just my 2 cents, but I have had three TC's over twenty years and they all did that. I thought everyone knew that is the way they operate. I also thought that one of the purposes was to keep the water temperature up while lathering up. Had a friend that didn't even know the button was there, they completely shut the water off between rinses, that must have been a pain.

My shower head does not leak.
I think they shouldn't.
The pump going on once and awhile because of a shower leak is not normal.
It should be fixed.

bought an inline valve to shut the water off at the head, it screws onto the pipe in the wall and the shower handle line screws onto it, about 10 buks at home depot.

I see you are also from MI.

If you did not drain the showerHEAD last winter it probably froze. There is a small part in there that ruptures from the ice formation that needs replacing. I dont recall exactly where-seems it is in the valve.

I replaced mine couple years ago but now make sure I drain plastic head and hose back to(thru) the valve.

Sorry, Ill try to check and see where that was exactly.

I think the terminology is causing the issue.

Showerheads should not "leak".

Howver, as many have noted, if the showerhead has a valve on the back of the head (typically an easy to turn flat disk that serves as the back of the actual head, it will "trickle" when turned one way, and "spray" when turned another.

However, I think the description that it does this to relieve pressure might be a bit off. I think the main reason lies in teh fact that the showerhead designer wanted that valve to be very easy to turn. It's a 1/8 turn valve at most, and it can't have very good seals, or it would be hard to turn with soapy hands. Thus, the design sacrifices some sealing capacity for ease of use and limits to how much it must be turned to work.

There's a possibility that we might not all be talking about the same thing. When we say that the shower head dribbles we're talking about WHEN YOU ARE TAKING A SHOWER. I think the OP was trying to leave the shower head activated with the faucet valves open at all times. As far as I know they were never designed to be operated that way.

I think you have correctly identified his "problem".

I think that the shower head should not leak when the water is turned on. As far as my way of thinking goes when you shut off a faucet it should not leak. I know that it is not like a faucet but still it should shut off. I just can not believe that everyone thinks this is normal. I have had 3 motor homes before this truck camper and not one of those leaked, inside or outside. I believe that it is just plain poor workmanship. This is just my opinion. Bill
