I have three kids - 5, 3 and 2. They love pools and a good playground. What campground around Gettysburg would be best? Thanks.

Gettsyburg CG on Rt 116 West of town !!! Their pool is excellent and they have lots of room for kids to play. All level CG so is easy to keep an eye on the little ones. Marsh Creek runs around the the east and southern side of the CG so kids can play with water creatures.

Only ever stayed at Drummer Boy, 2 years ago. We would go back. Friendly staff, nice pools, big sites, free WiFi, and overall a clean campground. They were offereing some type of gas card if you did a mid week stay, check out the website. Drummer Boy

Don't know for sure which is "best", but we have stayed at Gettysburg CG several times (once with our RV club) and like it very much. Plan to go back there this fall.

One to two years ago I would say it was Drummer Boy, my two grandkids 7 & 9 now loved it there. This year more changes by the new owners and less or no activates for little kids. They do have two pools one with a water slide at $10 per person per day but you have to be 48" tall,my seven year old granddaughter is to short. I would now say Granite Hill. If Gettysburg is not a requirement check out Splash Magic in Northumberland Pa. nice pool and a ton of things and activates for the kids to do also cheaper than Gettysburg. Knoebels amusement park real close also

We have camp alot in gettys burg, twice this year so far and another trip planned in OCt. You won't go wrong with Roundtop, Drummer Boy,
Granite Hills or Gettysburg KOA. It's been awhile since we stayed at Gettysburg CG but they have new owners and folks speak highly about the campground.
Happy Rving!

My family loves Artillery Ridge - although we can't tell you why exactly. It just feels right to us. Whenever I ask my daughter or boyfriend where they want to go, that's what they pick. We did the horseback ride through the battlefield during one visit and enjoyed it very much.
I would also second Splash Magic in Northumberland County. We were there for a few days a couple of weeks ago and had a wonderful time.

I think Granitehill CG on Rt 116 down from CGettysburg Cg would be the best choice with kids. They have a great game room.swimming pool and also a awsome put-put golf mountain! Also about a mile out from Gettysburg before you get to Gettysburg CG on the left you will see firewood for sale by the wheel borrow load for 5 bucks or small utility trailer load for 20 dollars

Would agree that GH has lots of activities for the kids and my buddy and I enjoy a challenging game of putt-putt there.
We have also had the oppurtunity to buy firewood from that same location. I believe he even expanded his operation a bit this year !

While these recommendations provide a slew of different campgrounds, you can make this assumption; it is difficult to choose a poor campground in Gettysburg. You'll love the area, and the battlefield experience is outstanding. Camp on!
