A local Dodge dealer is giving the last 18 2008 trucks away at 50% off factory sticker. Now that's a deal.

With Ford dealers giving up to $20,000 off MSRP I would hate to try and trade in a used truck for a new one. BTW I sold my 6.0 PSD Excursion last fall when diesel was $3.15 a gallon.

Bad time to sell...GREAT time to buy.
And not just trucks, but RVs, ATVs, motorcycles, vacation homes, etc.

There was talk of cutting the Titan or the Tundra or both. Anyone know any facts?

Toyota has suspended production of the Tundra for 3 months and only one of the two factories will be making it in the future. The Indiana plant is switching over to make the Prius. There are no plans to kill the Tundra. In fact, next year it is scheduled to come out in a 4.5L diesel. Every manufacturer is restructuring to adjust to the market right now.

I currently have the Tundra and have been on dealer lots for two weeks (3 visits, not going crazy here) and in my area, they are not dealing. A $55k truck is around $44k here right now, which I don't consider to be too great.

I think the used TV's will be the best deals, obviously, and am going to start looking at late model gently used, and let the dealers keep their overpriced new trucks.

I'm sure all those workers in the Honda, Toyota and Nissan plants located in the USA and also paying into SS are backing you 100%!

Figured I'd chime in... I was seconds away from buying an '08 F-450 XLT (four door) with 40k miles for $27,808 on eBay moments ago. No bidders, no reserve. I guess it will relist... how low will they go?

I am seriously holding out for the deal of the century - I think it's coming as model year end gets closer and closer and the inventories remain HUGE. Our Dodge dealer here is sitting on hundreds (it seems) of 2008 trucks.

I bought an American Made Truck too, built by American workers. What profits are you talking about? Did GM post a profit this year that we're not aware of?

Good point.
GM actually made a bunch of folks - shareholders - a lot poorer.
