BC, you may not need to purchase a separate charger.
As stated before (I don't believe you understood) using your converter in your RV is the easiest and simplest way to go. Provided your converter is an "intelligent" charger. If it is, all you do is connect your shoreline power cord on the RV to the Honda 2000 and you get a perfect 3 phase charge. The same thing a good battery charger is going to do.
Go check your converter brand and model number and report back to this thread. If you already have the right kind of converter you are already set to go. If you have a basic converter, then a battery charger is the way to go or exchange out your current converter.
I'm sorry I am not trying to tell you what to do, but I have the feeling you are a bit confused on what is being told to you.

Not entirely. The charger could always fail, and with the cord you have a backup plan.
I don't get lost, I investigate alternative destinations.
