Thanks to all.... really appreciate it. Mama says Eagles Rest...so I guess that's what it's gonna be.

Again, thanks

Ron, here is Eagles Rest in 2006.

Here is Bear Paw II on the water (boat channel)

Here is Sea Otter

Here is Bayside RV, newest of the RV parks in town, I believe. Never stayed here but looks nice. All parks in town seem about the same to me but we like Bear Paw II because of the location and ease of walking where ever we want to go. Sea Otter is a long walk back to the main part of town but a great view.

Office at Bayside

All the in-town parks are of the "large gravel parking lot" types. We have taken the Stan Stephen 2 glacier tour on our last two trips to Valdez. 2004 and 2006.
It is fun to set on the channel of the boat marina and watch the pleasure, tour and fishing boats go in and out. Bear Paw II and Sea Otter both offer this.

And a little info about Valdez.

If it's not too late, we just left Sea Otter a couple days ago - a few $ less, great spot on the water - we nosed right up to the channel, watched boats, fished for pinks, nice campfire... the "power issue" is, I believe, the fact that it isn't 30A service, only 15 or 20A.
But for us this was no issue (advantages of being small...!). When you visit make sure you go over to the oil terminal and check out the MILLIONS of salmon returning to the hatchery!!! Saw over 2 dozen sea lions, black bear, eagles, all in for the feast!!! Incredible sight! ST

Wow... thanks for the pics Joe and Dave.

Loggenrock... yep, 15 or 20A is definitely a problem for us so I guess we'll shy away from sea otter. Thanks for the info.

BEAR PAW by far the best. Cannot beat the view and you can walk to the small boat harbor. Last summer I use to just sit on one of the benches and watch the eagles.

Wish I was there again since it is 95degrees here on Hilton Head Island. Enjoy while you can. It is a long way south.............

We vote for Eagle's Rest. Can't say anything bad about the other places. I agree with every one else b/c I did ride by each one. But Laura and Jeff, the owner's of Eagle Rest are very nice. That Jeff is a character. If you get this before or while you are there, PLEASE PLEASE tell Jeff that the Louisiana girls send a GREAT BIG HUG AND HELLO.....this is Viv and Linda. You really will like it there if Jeff goes out fishing....his crew will clean fish, give it away to campers and even have a covered dish cook out for the campers using Paul Prudhomme cajun seasoning on the fish he cooks. Have a great stay and I do hope you deliver this message to Jeff....who is a
'go gether'...sounds like her is a hard worker....no, whatever you need help with he 'goes get her'...Laura his wife...haha...he will keep you laughing. Seriously, they are a young couple and they work hard.

Viv and Lr....the cajun girls
