plan on retireing in a few years just after the 1st of the year, plan on just staying here in michigan for the first summer to get all my ducks in a row the hopefully head to florida for the winter and workcamping someplace (hopefully). any advice from u full timers would be helpful, i read this forum all the time and i'm always learning something new, i should be good to go by the time the day comes.

If you intend to work, you should get that lined up first. Get busy, do your research and secure the position several months - maybe even a year - ahead of time.

I recommend you look into workcamper.com. They have a monthly magazine listing all the job opens in all states. Also, they have a great feature...they will e-mail you first, each day of all the new jobs that come up. Your friend Houston

You need to get started as soon as possible to find a position, paid or volunteer in Florida as Florida and Arizona are the first two states to fill positions. And I think that the suggested place to look probably intended to say to check Workamper News.

For a future domicile once you go on the road, let me also suggest that you consider Escapees RV Club.

Or just go work at Wall-Mart.... they pay cash ..... or if you have skills Home Depot..... work camping is a way for parks to get "labor".... for less then minimum wage.....

Before you sign on.... do the math.

If you want to be a "volunteer" sign up at a local church....
