We used to but with the cost of diesel we are now working in the sumnmner and winter and travel/sightsee during the spring and fall on the way to another job. Hope things in the price of fuel and economy change when the elections are over.

We workamp about 10 out of 12 months a year. Yep, we try to keep it warm and comfortable in the winter. Last two and the next winter have been here in Marathon, TX.

We work both seasons, but some of the time we schedule it so we have some time between positions that we can travel and relax. Works for us.

We were working summers and taking winters off, but this year we are reversing it. Will work this winter and then come home to our lot in western Idaho and spend the summer fishing and riding our ATV in the Pacific Northwest.

We have workamped both summer & winter, but last few winters have taken off & stayed put in warmer climate relaxing. Sometimes working in summer for pay can get you through the winter not working if you watcvh your spendings. Also jobs in spring/summer months are easier to find.
