Our coach is only 3 yrs old. Recently, while lubing the jacks, I noticed the bottom side is rusting terrible. Any suggestions, like some type of solution you can pour into a pump up sprayer, and spray the Hel--ooo out of it vs. a piece of sandpaper and spending a month of Sundays working underneath.
Appreciate your direction.

Better to spend "a month of Sundays" and take care of it. Then you can spray undercoating on it from a "rattle can" That was the first thing I did to the back of my 2005 Dodges bumpers when I bought it as I'd seen some rusted pretty badly from salt on the roads in winter up here. JMHO

There is a product called POR-15. It chemically changes the rust into a solid surface.

I used a spray product from Rustoleum made for spraying directly on rust that isn't flaking off in chunks. I sprayed it anywhere I could reach - underneath, in compartments, etc. Only took 3-4 cans and worked like a champ. Should be available at any hardware store. IMHO it beat the heck out of the professional solutions that are a) costly; b) time-consuming; and c) messy to do and clean up. Yes I'm sure it does not last as long but touchup once a year as needed takes only a half-hour out of my life.

I'd spray it with phosphoric acid, Home D sells it the paint dept and then undercoat it.

I second the POR recommendation. POR stands for Paint Over Rust. Good stuff.

I recently used POR (2 mos. ago) on a badly rusted propane tank. I can see pin pricks of rust again in some areas. Used it other places too & they look fine. so maybe I didn't get enuf on. Mostly pretty happy with it so far.

I do the same as magicbus, first time used 3 cans of spray paint, one can every year after. Have on of those creepy crawlers to make easy work of it.
