Maybe you can explain this one. We were driving down a mostly 2 lane highway and we came upon a slower vehicle (van) doing 55 in a 65 mph zone. We are doing 60 mph, and when we get the very safe chance to pass (3 lanes with no traffic in opposing direction) we attempt to do so. On goes the blinker and we pull over to pass. Well, this guy then puts his blinker on and pulls in front of us to keep us from passing! What was up with that? We couldn't figure that one out. Maybe you could enlighten us? Have never come across this before.

Leslie

Lets see, He's one of those self deputized gas saving police or It's the locale custom not to allow others to past. Perhaps it was the color of your car. He all so could have been saving you life by slowing you down. I give up.... Bill

Were you towing or running a large rig? Theres alot of cases where bigger rigs will pass slower ones, only to then slow down MORE than they were.

Perhaps someone attempting to institute their own 55 mph speed limit?

I've had many clowns speed up when I go to pass, but that sure takes the cake (nutcake that is)!

That's your basic idiot that didn't want to be anywhere in line except first, and sure didn't want to be behind an RV.

We were driving our 38 ft. mh along with our toad. We would have passed him and been gone leaving him to his 55 mph Sunday cruise. Could be that he wanted us to save gas, hadn't thought of that. Eventually, in a few miles we came to a passing lane on our side and cruised on passed him as well as everyone else behind.

That doesn't sound like a good or safe reason to block someone.

...so---did he make his left turn? Did you manage to pass him? Did you spend the rest of the day following him at 60? Are you alive and well, or talking to us from somewhere above or below?!

Inquiring minds wanna' know! What's the rest of the story?
