We were on highway 20 after leaving W. Yellowstone, but we were then in Idaho. And NO, he didn't make a left turn! My thought was, he didn't think we should pass at this spot, for whatever reason, I don't know, maybe he was the highway 'po-leese'.
We are now in S. Ogden chillin' with family until Monday. This is the last leg of our trip. Then Yippee!, on to home, where my heart, and grandson is.
May we all have safe travels.

Don't you think if it were the highway 'po-leese', they WOULD have let you pass, then pulled you over to right you a nice ticket?
They love doing that around here.

It was probably a control freak. I hate those that appoint themselves at the "pace car" for everyone else. I would have probably called the highway patrol and told them that there was a jerk, probably drunk, that was driving very irregular and had almost caused a couple of accidents so far (you wouldn't have really been lying). They would have come fairly soon and pulled him over.. You could continue at your rate of speed. He probably would have tried to catch up to you, passed you, and run the pace car again to prove that you can not control him. All you would have had to do then is prevent him from passing you again.

the first thing you did wrong was giving him warning by putting your blinker on you should have nailed it to the floor and blew his *ss off the road.
then when he moved over to block why didn't you fly up on his *ss honking and waving the one finger.
Hasn't driving on the same roads with the idiots taught you anything???

Some people are just plain miserable and the only place they can take their frustrations out on others is behind the wheel of their vehicle, playing their little games in traffic. The solution to that? Fight of flight! Either do as been suggested before and "signal twice, then move over whether they like it or not" or just sit in your lane, take your time, enjoy the drive. Either way don't take it personally. I live in an area where aggressive drivers are renowned and quite frankly sometimes you just have to be assertive and complete your lane change. Then forget about it and move on.

Something that wasn't mentioned is that he could have been trying to move out of the way. I have been guilty of seeing someone run up behind me and trying to be courteous I move over only to look in my mirror and see that they had moved over also to pass. Just a case of a simple mistake.

You have to understand, we weren't upset or even pissy about it, just thought someone could give us insight about this behavior/maneuver. Goodness gracious don't try to make it into something it isn't. Sheesh.
Chill, and try to relax! We're alive and doin' fine. Goin' home.
