I ran across a notification for this rocket event scheduled for early October near Plaster City.

http://www.plasterblaster.com/default.html

It looks like it is in or very near the riding area. Last years pictures make it look like a great time for families, riders, kids and those that like things that go boom (or swoooooooooooosh). If anyone has been there, done that, I would be interested in your opinion.

I'm going to invite some friends and make a weekend of it.

Desert time is coming!!!
Mike

we often go out and launch medium power rockets when we camp and ride. One of my riding buddies is pretty in to it and he wants to go to Plasterblaster.

He went to a similar event, LDRS (Large Diameter Scary Rockets, or something like that) at Jean Nevada. At these events, rockets are taken to a new level. The size, and power, and sophistication are pretty impressive.

Never new about this place. Used to go to Lucerne Dry Lake Bed for the Rocstock and riding but heard BLM shut it down for riding. Rockets still ok there.

May have to check this out.
