Make it simple. Just get a LINKSYS Wireless G Range expander. Cost about $90.
My motorhome sets in the driveway with the F1 MotoSat on.
In the house I have a very weak signal.
I got the LINKSYS Range Expander, it just plugs into a power outlet in the house and I now have a full signel and very good communicaations. The Range Expander (in the house) is about 150' away from my router (in the MH). Signal thru 2 walls of the house.
KISS principal.
Works great

Ok, so it looks like this one is available in the store today.

Sorry, I don't remember how to make the link active.

If I understand this one correctly, I could use this as follows:

1. Place this device in the rv, on the table, right at the window that currently receives a signal. And IF said signal is strong enough this device will boost the wireless signal throughout the rv?

2. Place this device right next to the originating wireless router on the windowsill inside the house and hope that it can 'push' the signal through the building that is between the house window and the rv, and through the sides of the rv such that a wireless signal is available throughout the interior of the rv?

3. Place this device inside the building that is between the house window and the rv, and hope that it can pick up the signal from the originating router and boost it through to the rv?

So this thing has no wire connections other then plugging it into a wall outlet?

I'm currently sitting in my "smoking room" which is a metal storage building about 75' from my house and receiving a very good wireless connection. My router is a $50. Linksys and I use a $50. Airlink 101 USB connected antenna. I'm about 125' from the router as the crow flies. As I said, i'm in a metal building with the door closed and there is also a brick wall between me and the router.

Even at 30 mw, they will easily link as much as 2 miles with the right antenna's on both sides, assuming no interference.

Find a USB n or g adapter with 6 foot cable -- that will solve your problem. Fry's will have one.

Be aware that the Linksys wireless range expander is NOT compatible with WPA-enabled wireless networks (!!) before you go out and buy it...

I have the belkin Wireless G range Extender, It is also a repeater and supports WPA, I have it in the front window of my trailer, and it repeats the signal to anywhere within the trailer. They can kind of be a pain to setup but work nicely. I got confused at first setting it up and didnt realize it was going to act as its own little wireless access point, my main router is a Zyxel and shows up on the laptop as so, I decided to make the belkin's SSID ZyxelR (for Repeater) and then made the laptop connect automatically to those two.
