I consider one of the perks of trading my gas Class A for a DP is the fact that I can refuel with the trucks. I always hated having to find a place that was easy in and easy out when filling up my gas MH.

Truck side is diesel only. Not many big trucks using gas, LOL.
Pilot Station in Florence charges more at the Truck pumps vs. the RV pumps. Learned this last time I stopped so I went to the RV pumps.

All you have to do is walk inside and the clerk will override the commercial price and charge the correct price. I do this anytime I fuel in AZ or IN and have never been refused the corrected price.

Yes, I definitely agree with the previous posts regarding Love's. Obviously, they have no interest in selling to a gas MH. Most Pilot Truck Stops have the same deficiencies. Usually have good luck at the newer Gas stations.

We use Flying J as our primary fuel supplier. Our tanks holds 83 Gallons so we can pick our fuel stop. Their price is competitive and their fuel is always fresh. We also overnite in their lot. Never in the back with the big rigs. As far as our experience their RV islands work for us. Their are a few where the islnds a a bit snug but we deal with it. The shower rooms are clean which makes it nice for cleaning up.

The clerk in the Pilot is the one that told me the truck pumps cost more and why don't I use the RV pumps.

We have used the Flying J's when they are where we need. I don't mind if they are a few cents more as the RV pumps convenience is worth it. They are always friendly and even thank me for my purchase. The only negative is that most that I have visited you have to walk in to get your receipt. Other than that, I give them a thumbs up!
Recently at the one in Knoxville, TN, someone had apparently had their hose burst when dumping. The dump station was a mess. I ran the water hose the whole time I was there trying to clean up a bit, but I could not believe someone left a mess like that for the rest of us.

The Texan wrote: Just to take this a step further, we were told to leave the premises of two Love's stations in Florida, when we pulled into the truck island side. Our rig and toad would not fit at the car pumps in the front, so went where we normally go, with other truck stops and that was the results. Needless to say, we will not grace Love's truck stops with our presence again. I have never been to a Love's, but I'm curious about "the rest of the story" here, Mr. Texan. Did they give you any explanation of WHY they didn't want your money? Are you saying that RV coaches are not permitted at their truck pumps?

The experiences stated above with Loves are not alone. I will not stop at one even if I have to call my road side assistance for fuel. I have been asked to leave the truck pumps at two different ones and told at another that I was blocking two gas pumps while I was filling my RV so please hurry up. Actually only one besides the one that I was using. I told them that if their pumps would pump any faster then I would fill faster or if they would let me use the truck pumps I would not block the gas pumps. Never stop there again.
