IIRC when we bought ours the dealer said their was a new law that states they need to put actual dry weight of the model as equipped as it leaves the factory. Meaning all factory installed options are counted in the weight. For example the dry weight listed inside the cabinet on my new TT is heavier than the base dry weight listed in the brochures. The dry weight in my camper includes propane, battery, AC and such that were installed during manufacture. It will not include stuff the dealer adds. I was actually happy to see that. Fleetwood also includes using the GVWR of the unit not dry weights in their literature where they mention how to determine if your vehicle can tow it.

Having just imported a trailer from the US to Canada, I learned that is absolutely required by the US and CAN to have a sticker on every trailer stating weights. Not just for import/export, its the law. Don't believe anyone who tells you they are not needed.

I just purchased my trailer in July. There was an additional sticker on the screen door that said "Modifications made to this trailer have added _______________ lbs." (or something similar). They wrote in 120 which I am assuming is the awning and a few other things they did.

just to add to other posters mentioning CCC/GVWR/certification fed tag requirements. New NHTSA requirement, to FMVSS, just released for new RV trailer built after 6/2/'08 is "the sum of the GAWRs on the vehicle plus the mfgs recommended tounge weight must be not less than the manufactors GVWR on the certification label."
Previous to that date the GVWR didn't include tougue weight.
see GVWR change for reasons for the change. Its several pages long but is interesting how/what can lead to NHTSA changes in out 49 CFR weight regs.

I'm not questioning what is required now or what was required before 6/08, but my trailer manufacturered 6/06 followed the "new rules" effective 6/08 where the two AWR and tongue wt. equal the GVWR.
Point is that even for trailers built before 6/08 the tongue wt. may or may not be included in the trailers GVWR.

Unless the RV industry has found a way of getting around it, YES per DMV and DOT regulations. All vehicles built for Highway use MUST have a Manufacturers Label on it. Giving Tire size and ratings-Wheel size and ratings-Axel ratings. Should also include the GVWR for the vehicle.

You'll see a yellow/black CCC tag on the inside of the door right. There is no change in the GVWR/V.I.N. sticker and the Tire & Loading Information sticker on the exterior left front. There will no longer be a UVW (shipping weight) sticker inside a kitchen cabinet. So...to figure the approx. trailer weight, subtract the CCC from the GVWR.
You'll also see some modified CCC tags. Example: 2nd A/C added to a Fifth Wheel. The dealer is required to attach a modified tag lowering the CCC the weight of the A/C.
Here's more info on the new rules effective 6/2/2008:
