"What is Sea Foam and where does one get it? Is it similar to Stabelizer?" It does more than regular stabalizer : http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUpTechGas.htm

I get it at NAPA. GOOD STUFF.
All these replys has me scared the thing will fall apart as salt is used on the roads in the winter and I live in a salt laden atmosphere less than 1/2 mile from the Atlantic Ocean. Arizona here I come!

SeaFoam is used big time in the marine industry, and with outboards, and I have herd good things about it, but I dont use it on my MH.
Even if you live in an area where salt is used on the roads, or close to the ocean, like I do, just exercise your generator under a 50% or more load for 20 min a month or more is all you need. In the winter I use one or two 1500 Watt portable heaters, so it warms up the inside of the MH as well, for free.
This will pay off in reliability.

I have the vary common Onan 4KW Micro Quiet generator, with 550 hrs on it, and when I start it cold, if I just hold the start button down, it will crank for 15 to 20 sec before it starts. But if I push the start button for just 5 sec, release it for 3 sec then push it again it will start immediately with the second push, every time. I think the button release must be setting the choke, because it sure starts quicker this way.
And maybe my choke is just sticky, but it works for me.

Hi Mike. I use Sea Foam in all my engines from the E-Tech to the weed wacker and ocassionally the car. I expect to leave around 1/2 or so tank of fuel in the MH and stabalize that also. I've only used the gen around 5 times and was frustrated by what I call fair starting quality like yours. I'll try your procedure later.

my onan 4k microlite (same as microquiet except does not have onboard diagnostics) starts the same way as others. I just push the button for 5 secs, then pause and push again to start. When it is warmed up already this procedure is not necessary.

Like old travel decals? me too!
