Most folks do use there propane when going down the road. If you so chose to, it is also recommended that you turn it off when refueling at a gas station. The newer RV's are equipped with a flow switch. Should you break a line and you propane go to full flow, it is suppose to shut off. Bill

I do it all the time. I only turn it off when necessary to go thru a tunnel or over a bridge, etc. Also I turn it off when refueling if the diesel pumps are too close to the gasoline pumps. Gas fumes and open flames tend to ruin ones day.

Have found that the refrigerator will maintain a low temp and even the freezer will keep when on the road for up to 8 hours. I now turn the unit off, basically to save on propane. No need to burn off gas and dollars if not warranted.
