I love it. Does bring the thread back to reality.
I have yet to figure out why people with private homes leave them and go to a public place and become a sardine in a can of sardines and then whine about not liking the sardine (or its babies) they parked by or over or under them.

There seems to be an issue with people using walkways, sidewalks, and paths. What is their purpose then? The greenery is to be enjoyed by all not destroyed by careless people who don't think about the person who come next.
These are the same people that go off of the hiking trails, write on rocks and carve their names in trees. Afterall, it's just one. They don't get the idea that if one does so does another and then there is little left for one to enjoy. I seldom stay in a campground or rv park, but when I do I don't have a problem telling someone not to cut through my site.
Even at home, my pets have enough common sense to stay on the stepping stones, sidewalk and driveway.

They seem to look for sites where no one is sitting or where there are few obstuctions like picnic tables etc. I wanted to say something a few minutes ago but decided I am here to relax and not get riled up. Maybe Mark Polk of RV Education 101 can do a video on proper etiquatte for teens

This is the point I'm trying to make. that the courtesy/respect for fellow Campers/RVers and the park owners is dwindling.
Easter of this year we were out at Dreher Island in SC with a group from work. We were spread out thru several sites. Everyone was courteous and took the roadway to others campsites. What got us though, was the pop up that took the site next to us. They would traipse through our site, inbetween our TV and TT to get to the road (dont know what was wrong with their driveway). We did say anything, but Hubby moved the TV closer to the TT and then took off the caps we use to cover hitch ball so that we dont get greasy. The next time one of the pup tenters came thru they came away with greasy shorts.
I had also set up a small easter egg hunt around our TT for the members of our group using brightly colored plastic eggs in which I hide candy. I'd planned the hunt so that in the end everyone could have 2 eggs each and the winner a special prize. I hid the eggs the night before as the hunt took place before breakfast---I came up short 5 eggs---all had been hidden on the side of our TT that the pup site adjoined. Later that morning I saw one of the teens in the pup with 2 of the eggs. Go figure

No that's what parents are supposed to do but many don't; hence, other parts of the system have to take up the slack -- lots of slack -- and lots of responsibility where it doesn't belong.

I confess I have sometimes walked through grass when the pathway was blocked by people or animals - but I swear I have never written on a rock or carved my name or anything else on a tree (or a bathroom wall for that matter).
Don't get mad - I'm just havin' a little fun.
Ok - I get it - there are some really careless, ignorant, or even obnoxious people out there. But for the most part this issue is a minor inconvenience or annoyance, isn't it? Is it really worth getting upset over?
That handful of truly obnoxious people are the exception rather than the rule and they should and can be dealt with appropriately. I still don't understand all the fuss over someone walking harmlessly through a campsite. They shouldn't do it - and if they thought about it, they probably wouldn't do it. If you feel the need to offer them guidance, I think that's great. But bringing the bad feeling about it home seems like overkill to me.
Life is short and when we take our last breaths I doubt any of us will remember the people that walked through our sites. Heck, there are so many other "trespasses against us" that I'm sure will come to mind.

I don't know about you, but how can you enjoy lunch or dinner, outside, with people in you camp site or some kid riding a dirt bike back and forth
or a guy tha lets his dog do a poo in your site and walks away. sites like this are a good place to vent ,but to let others examine how they may be percieved as RVers or campers.
I don't mind it when someone walks through my site. And I like watching kids have a good time. My only issue would be safety - and I wouldn't hesitate to address a safety issue with the children or the adults if my site was involved.
Dog poop is dog poop. I don't consider it important enough to ruin my day. I'm on a trip to have fun - not to notice the idiocy of the human race. Heck, I can do that at work or the local grocery store.
There have been idiots in the human race for as long as humans have existed. Isn't it funny how complaining about them or getting upset about them never does any good. They couldn't care less if the rest of us like their behavior or not. Why waste time, energy or emotion on something that isn't going to change - particularly if all we're talking about is somebody walking through a campsite.
If you have an issue with a fellow camper that needs to be addressed, I say go for it. But I still don't understand why people get seriously upset over other people merely walking through their site. It just seems a bit "uptight" to me. I go camping to get away from my "uptight" self.
Mouse Burp Said; "If it does become a problem, I guess I'll just try to borrow a roll of "Crime Scene" tape from work."
My idea as well.
String the tape on the perimiter of "my site" and if some one questions about 'the tape', my reply could be, "It will be a crime scene if you come inside my site, without being invited!"
We enjoy having folks come and set and talk but do not tolerate those who cross, univited, our site!
We stay most always in TT or ODW and the Management most usually have a 'note' in the welcome kit about respecting others sites, I guess cause there be a lot of newbbies and they need education.
