In addition to what Spike88 said, there were days that Maicey would seem "off" and didn't eat well, but was better the next day. All of us on here understand what you are going through, some because we have been in your shoes.....Just love her everyday. If they give you a "timeline", understand that it is just that...a timeline. I have said it before on this forum....when they gave Maicey 3 months to live, I lived like she was dying in 3 months. Cried all the time....etc. She lived for 16 months. I wish I would have spent more time celebrating her life.
Thinking of you and Roxy.....

Roxy seems to be holding her food down these days. The Doctor is pretty sure it is cancer and since they almost lost her during the biopsy procedure, full anesthesia to try to remove a tumor this involved is out of the question. She is still getting around fine, but I'm sure her days are numbered. We are keeping her company, spending time with her and just letting her know we love her until the end. I'll let you know, when something else happens. Happy camping! - Eric -

Well, just to let you all know, Roxy has a tumor where her stomach empties out into her large intestine. We have had her on sucrolphate since the first visit to the doctor. As long as we continue to mush her food, it seems to stay down. The vets have warned us that the tumor may burst and we will loose her instantly, however they also say that she seems to still have plenty of life left in her and at this point we can't bring our selves to put her down.

We completed a 2 week trip to Seattle and she doesn't seem any worse for wear. We'll keep you posted as things develop.

Well she seems to be holding her own...in some ways your lucky to have the long goodbye, you get to spend this time with her, making it special for her, she already knows how much you love her but these are precious days to just enjoy her.

I know you are giving Roxy all the happiness you can pack into a day for her. Glad you get this time. Koko went very quickly.

Eric,

I am reading between the lines that this tumor is inoperable?

Thanks for the update Eric. I am so glad to know y'all are enjoying your time with Roxy. Like anything in life we have to take it one day at a time and cherish each of them. It sounds like your little Roxy is doing very well with your good care and love. Keep up the good work!
