Hello all,
We are thinking of buying a 37ft A Class RV and would like it stored securely pref under cover within a 50 mile radious of an international airport.We live in England and would be visiting a few times a year.Our question is what are the going rates for storage.

PS Diesel in the uk has gone down in price by 7pence a litre this week

I'm sure somebody will chime in soon, but I would guess it will be several hundered dollars a month for enclosed storage in the greater LA area.
I reread your post and don't know where I got LA but I would venture to guess it will be pretty expensive near any major airport. (within 50 miles).

Sacramento is an international airport, and 35 miles North here in Yuba City there is an indoor storage area. I have not checked the prices but suspect it would be around $150 a month. It is a very easy drive to get to the airport from here.

In the Los Angeles are the average for indoor storage is about $10 a foot for each foot in length.

This is close to LAX and ONT airports. Shuttles run from LAX to ONT and McBride's is just around 3 miles from ONT airport. The climate here is dry so no mold problems.

The cheapest that I could find near Palm Springs was a brand new facility in Indio (26 miles from the house). I have an enclosed garage with a 15 amp outlet and the storage facility is gated and has security camera's. I pay $389 a month.
Enclosed garages that were closer to home were $500 a month but they were all full.

This is stretching the 50-mile thing a bit but storeinside.com has a place in Milpitas, but they're an easy drive from San Francisco airport. They also rent RVs. I don't know what they're rates are, but I think $10/foot is close.

And I thought $148 a month for covered parking near Atlanta was a lot! I hope Public Storage doesn't see these prices.

If you are planning on using LAX as you point of entry you may consider storing your coach in Bakersfield at Derrel's mini storage. Current rate for covered parking is $92.50 per month.
Bakersfield is an easy 1.45 hours from LAX.
