Anyone have ideas or tricks to reach the reservation line? I have tried for a month now and always get that recording to tell me to call back. I have called early, late and inbetween and no luck. I am trying to get my reservation for Gulf Shores for the winter months.

Thanks

Try 1-800-ALA-PARK or www.outdooralabama.com or you could email dcnr.parkspr@dcnr.alabama.gov

Thanks, I have tried the 1-800 number till I am blue in the face. I appreciate the email link and will try that Monday.

Keep trying, but I think you are probably too late. When we were there last winter, they cut off reservations for Winter 2009 in February. I wouldn't worry though. If you get there before the end of January, you will probably be able to get in immediately. Worst case, you put your name on the waiting list, stay at a private park and get into the state park in a couple of days. Once you're in you can stay as long as you want (well, at least until the end of April).

Thanks, ya last year for January our reservations were made in June and when we got there they took folks on a drive in basis that did not have reservations. There were plenty of spots open then but who knows. I will call the park again direct and see what they are doing.
