Anyone familiar with this area? Heard about the town from a friend, but they had no info on campgrounds. Any info would help.

The town is charming with lots of old brick buildings and interesting architecture. Streets are narrow and winding up the hills,so taking the trolley is a good idea. Don't know about campgrounds....we drove over from Branson, about 50 miles away.

Wanderlust rv park is the best in the area, might be the best in Ark but do not pass that along or it wont be. Wonderful place, people and location. There is another out by the dam, havent stayed there yet. Drove the 39 ft fiver down from Branson and spent two days there, came down 17, what a drive. The bridge over the lake will give you a thrill.

And yet another vote for Wanderlust. Eureka Springs is a quaint little town known as the "Switzerland of the Ozarks".

Thanks all. Looks like Wanderlust RV Park is the place to visit. Did anyone notice if there was any car rentals in the town? That would help us alot.

Great little Switzerland, but right now about 98 degrees in the shade. Expected to be the same until Thursday. August and part of September is usually the hottest part of the year.

As for car rental, you best bet is Lrock. There is a rental deal in the airport at eureka, but take plenty of cash. You can buy one for what they want for rental.
If you are just going to visit the town, you dont need a car, everything is within walking distance.

I believe you can ride the trolley into town from Wanderlust RV Park.

Do a search on the internet for "eureka springs trolley". The town is not that big and it would be a lot cheaper getting around on the trolley than renting a car.
