We are looking for anyone who has had trouble with a leak over the door of their Holiday Rambler Ambassador. The waterfall is coming in from behind the trim above the door. The roof has been sealed several times and no one can seem to find how the water is getting into the coach. The walls will soon begin to mildew and swell. Monaco has tried to work on it two times, our dealer two times, and Camping World one time.We have had nothing but trouble from this coach.

Some RV dealers have a positive air pressure test machine where they blow high volume, low pressure air into your RV and put soapsuds on the roof and outside to see where it's bubbling up.
You can do the same test yourself with an old squirrel cage furnace blower or leaf blower placed on a ladder into a window then seal off the rest of it with cardboard. Mop on some soapsuds made with dish washing liquid.
Get a roll of Eternabond to seal it off permanently.

If the unit is still in warrentee let Holiday Rambler and your dealer fix it or provide another unit. It sounds like this has been a "since day one" problem. The post about positive pressure is good there is also a thing called a power door that creates a negative pressure that allows smoke or something like that to be used to find air flow. Good luck.
Are you finding the leak more prevalent when you are driving the coach during rain, or when the coach sits static during the storm?
Reason I ask, we had a problem with our front windshield leaking on our coach. Although rainwater just ran down the inside of the windshield, there may be a way for the water to channel from the windshield area to the door area (not sure).
Also, has the dealer considered checking the door awning (if you have). The mounting screws and hole for the electic lines may not have been properly sealed at the factory.
Monaco performs extensive leak tests on their coaches prior to delivery. Wonder why this wasn't caught?

I had a small leak in the same area above the entry door. If you check your roof where your main awning is attached, you should find a joint that runs the length of the awning. water will lay in this area after the rain stops. I ran some short self tapping screws along the joint were it seem to be popping up then covered the joint with eternabond. Its been fine ever since....Bruce
If your TV antenna is above or in that vacinity on the roof, I would check it, when it is down and when it is up.. We fought the same leak and that's what it turned out to be..Good luck..
PS: don't use regular caulking, it will not stay as a roof sealant..Get the stuff that is used by the manufacture at the factory..I have some on the RV but I don't remember the name, we are away from it right know so if you need that let me know.. Most RV dealers carry it..

If you are getting water in the walls, YOU have major problems. Friend of mine had a brand new Monaco Diplomat and water got in the walls from a leak around the skylight. He had to take the coach to Wildwood, Florida where they removed the whole roof, cabinets and parts of the interior wall to clean the damage caused by water getting into the wall. Since your coach is still under warranty I believe you should get them to send you to Wildwood, Florida and get that resolved. Spors are very dangerous to your health.
Good Luck!
Just because the leak appears to be around the door doesn't mean that is where the entry point is. As other posters said, I would look to the awning, antenna, or especially to an aftermarket satellite dome installation as the source of entry.
