Hi, here we are at an RV park, eastbound near the north east tip of Gaspe, in Grande Vallee, it's raining hard, foggy and windy, which this system seems to be battering most of eastern Canada. I'm sure glad we did most of the Gaspe in 05, and are going to wait out the weather to do the part we missed.
There are aprox 90 sites here at the RV park, and other than 3-4 seasonal's, there are three other RV's. I guess weather and fuel prices are really taking their toll here in eastern Canada. This park, (Soleil Couchant) has big and mostly open and flat grassy sites, most have full hookups (20 and 30 amp) and fast free wi-fi. The owner lives on site in a house, is friendly, helpful and speaks good English.
We have been dogged by bad weather off and on for weeks now, and if it wasn't for other preplanned and prepaid trips, we would probably head home.
It's supposed to clear up on Tuesday so we will hunker down here until then and decide where to go next.
The roads aren't too bad really with some repaved sections and a lot of reconstruction (I mean, not too bad after the Yukon and Alaska that is!)
Peter.

Misty up here in Newfoundland on and off some days, and a bit of rain here and there, but overall quite nice we think. Been here three weeks so far. Went to eastern most bit of North America (Cape Spear) three days ago and it was sunny. Fun to watch whales right off the point.
Plan to go south to Gaspe in a few weeks, hope it is better by then.

Oh Jack, what are you, the pot calling the kettle black?
Well, yes, I remember snow in Newfoundland on July 4 in 1992. I know because of other stuff.
But Sinterior you are right this weather seems all over the eastern Canuck map. They opened a new swimming area in Halifax yesterday and the Mayor and other dignitaries practiced what they preached and showed up in swimming togs, poor weather for it or no.
I trust you will ramble through many interesting areas in Gaspe.
