So excited!! We have made a deal on a 2006 Winnebago Adventurer 38R. Would appreciate any information good or bad about the Adventurer. We also have a 5yr 50k RT66 warranty that comes with it. They seem to have all the bases covered, if they pay!

Terrific, isn't it great to breath again! I was blue in the face till I turned the ignition on and heard the engine purr, any way Harlee and I wanted to wish y'all many happy and adventurous miles in the new rig. Sorry I can’t help you in regards to your question, just wanted to say congrats.

It has to be a Chevy 8.1 Vortec engine. Back in 2006, all the 37'+ class A gassers were built on the Workhorse chassis and therefore it must be a 8.1. Also, if I remember correctly, this MH was approximately 39' long! Bagman.

bagman is correct. The coach is 38'11" and is build on a Workhorse chassis.
8.1 Vortec engine 340 HP with an Allison 2100 transmission.

Congratulations on your new purchase and have fun!

Thats right it is a workhorse with 8.1. It also has the allison trans.
I meant to mention, that we were a bit suprized to see how busy the RV dealerships were. We've visited several over the past few months. Our salesman said they were down a bit, but not bad.

Congratulations. We love our 94 Adventurer. Our next one will have a slide. That's my only complaint. When I bought it, I didn't think we would need one.

Good luck!!!
