one problem is what's up with the concertone alarm? the manual doesn't really help , we tried the things it said. every day at 1115 am it turns on. our other tv and dvd player remotes also make the concertone go on and off but that's just funny. the sound and picture from it are actually good which surprised us reading that the concertones sucked. but this alarm thing has to end. short of a sledge hammer, now what?

Since our ROO is a 2005 we didn't get the option for a tv in ours. I presume that is what you are talking about. I would think you could go to the set up menu and turn the alarm feature off. Good luck. Enjoy your rig, we sure have enjoyed ours.

Is the menu for setting the time and alarm show up on the tv?

Return it to the dealer. They can get a replacemetn from FR for free. The initial run of those stereos had an "error" in them. It needs to be replaced to fix it.

I have had mine replaced twice, cuz the dealer had one in stock that they thought already had the fix, but it didn't.

Contact the dealer (or Forest River if the dealer is inconvenient). As noted there was a bad batch (or more!) of these inexpensive radios and a replacement is a screwdriver job you can do at home and not tie up your trailer at the dealer for weeks this time of year.

no it's not the tv. it's the concertone x something that plays dvd, cd, sd cards, mp3s, usb slot and so on and has a direct in/out. I think the other guys know the one I'm talking about. the tv we have in there is our own and fine. just saying the remote for it and our other dvd sometimes trigger the built in concertone unit.

the sound and display that the concertone puts out on videos and cds and the rest is actually pretty good and the speakers are better than average for camping trailers too, maybe we lucked out on that. but the alarm, the only thing the book for it says is a sleep timer and the four million buttons on the face only says sleep alarm. the manual addresses it and we tried all the things it said but all we managed to do was get it moved from 11something every night to 11something every day.

Thanks, we will call dealer (not far away) and have them send another and try again. Now watch because what will happen is the alarm won't be funky on the replacement but it also won't sound as good or look as good on the dvds, usb and sd , laughing! thanks guys. just thought maybe someone had the weird alarm and could just somehow disconnect the alarm someway we do not find in the manual for it or by pushing all the dozens of possible combinations.

This is new, husband just came in from moving the Roo out of our main house drive into it's designated parking spot and was also brining in a couple of things I forgot to unload I wanted unloaded. As he was doing the (power) jack to release the hitch and bars, the conertone radio turned on . So now the aliens have invaded the power jack on front (do I smell 12V issues here?)

Calling dealer tomorrow morning or maybe better to call Forest River and report the issues ? their service manager at the factory?

Use the dealer. THat is what they are for. If you find poor service there, go over them, but until they prove to be bad, utilize them so you dont have to go hunting...

I did. I called dealer this morning. They're sending out a unit. Asked if we wanted to bring it in but assured us it was simple to do ourselves. But the jack setting it off, he said call Forest River on, something about needing to report it to them as he hadnt heard any problem like that which leads me to believe it's a ground wire for the jack or something and we somehow just undid it but it wasn't my regular salesguy I got to talk to (daguum fool took the day off cause his wife went into labor this morning, who ever heard of doing that? laughing)
