The last couple of times out I've had trouble securing my awning when I get ready to close it. One of the arms will not latch at the top. It rolls up fine, but when I try to push the arm flush against the side of the TT, it won't latch at the top. The arm that has the lock on it secures properly but the other arm remains "loose". It hasn't presented a problem while I'm towing, but don't know what the problem is. I've tried lifting on the arm a little, slamming it, nothign works. It's under warrantee so I could have the RV dealer take a look at it, but if it's an easy fix, I'd rather do it myself to save the trip.

I would take it in - sounds as if it maybe got twisted/bent slightly. Have you tried closing that one first thd the working one second? Sometimes that will work but you should still see about it. In the meantime, fasten it as tight as you can with a dog collar or cable tie to be sure it doesn't unfurl while underway.

I have found that sometimes when parked on uneven ground that this will happen. I usually will raise the arm up a little to get it to lock in. Another way is to get up on a flat area, and reroll up the awning.

My uncle had the same problem on their JayFeather. The small plastic loop on the top right side of the awning had split. You might want to check that.
