You will find the vent on the top of the TT. It is usuallly near one side or the other approx area of bath. It will have a "vent cover" cap on it. Cap usually just pops off and you can shine a light down it. Birds and wasps LOVE to make nest there!!!
I agree that the smell may be from the glue type products. Try to leave the windows open and prop the toilet open. After a few days see is the smell is deminished.

When we got our new TT it specifically said not to use bleach in the toilet--could hurt the seals--so be careful. We were told to fill the toilet (as others have mentioned) and put two or three times the normal dose of toilet chemical in it (we use Happy Camper) and let it sit for several days. You could do it and let it sit until you return for your next visit. That would probably take care of it.
