Rob (OP), I have a class C so I have the cab area for storage and that is where the large bottle goes. I keep a 1 gallon botton on the kitchen counter and refill from the big bottle as needed. If you don't use the driver seat in your class A for regular seating that is where I'd keep it while stationary. When traveling it could be in the shower if it was secured somehow. In my rig when the bedroom slide is in there is room to put the bottle in a secure location under the "makeup" bench.
To those that say why not use the water tanks as they were designed for...
Even when hooked up to campground water I'll rarely (if at all) drink the water. All coffee, cooking & drinking water comes from the bottle. I've drank pure well water for years and just do not care at all for the treated municpal water due to the clorine, florine, and whatever else gets added to the river or lake water that is used by most towns.

The Other reason that We are picky about the water we Drink has to do with My DW needing Some Medications that virtually eliminate Her Immune System! Drinking possibly contaminated Water would not be a Pleasant Experience.
Maybe a few of those that people out there that like to run off at the mouth about how wonderful The Tap water is should look up " Walkerton, Ont" sometime! You might not be so quick to fire off Your Missiles!

You are amazed that people pay for water? Is the City of Detroit giving their water away for free now?
If you are using a municiple water supply then you're still paying for it. The packaging is just different.

Ok, a plea for folks to "see both sides".
-Water in some areas may not taste good (nothing to do with campgrouds). (Greenville, MS, Florida coast sulfur water, Smallville Municipal Well USA, and on and on and on).
-It is also possilble for some folks to get "Montezuma's revenge" by drinking perfectly sterile, but nevertheless different water.
So, buying some bottled water does not make one a nut case.
And, the other side of the story- I do agree that I'm perfectly happy to fill my tank with the great water from our home municipal supply and make coffee as well as flush the toilet with it! Fear not :-) !

We have a filter under the sink which has it's own faucet, so when wewant drinking water we use that faucet. Don't need bottled water with this set up.

Do not assume that all public water is safe. In Texarkana, AR they put a not on your door telling you that drinking their water over a period of time could be dangerous to your health. This is happening as I type

yes, if you have some serious medical reason to drink bottled water, go for it. but if you are like the other 99% of us, not necessary when drinking out of regularly tested municipal systems. I mean, thousands of folks drink municipal water and don't die. wouldn't you consider Walkerton to be an unusual situation? do you ever go out to restaurants and drink water, use ice cubes, etc.
I would think that you have about a brazillion times more of a chance of dying in a wreck with your RV than from drinking from a chlorinated municipal tap.

Agreed, there are always a few legitimate MEDICAL reasons. Perfectly understandable.
However that doesn't take away from that fact that there seems to be an epidemic of paranoid germaphobes running around out there. Go figure...

Instead of the bottled water install a under sink filter that is NSF certified, and add a filtered water faucet next to the kitchen faucet. It will pay you back with the savings from buy all those bottles and you won't have to mess with the 5 gallon bottles (also saves weight)
I had a NSF filter on my old fifth wheel and will be adding one to my new one once the faucet arrives.
Yes I will still drink out of my garden hose, but some cities water supplies just aren't that good whether is taste or smell.
I work in Kansas City MO. and can't drink the water there with out bothering my stomach, so I refill bottle at home and take them to work.
