My TT is a Rockwood 8314SS and it is 33' long. I have seen some really nice 35-40' long TT's. Do people really drag these around or do most people use them as seasonal units?

Thanks

Most of those are used by full timers and are only moved once or twice a year. I can't imagine pulling ond for just short term camping.

Jayco makes some "Bungalow" or also called "Park" trailers...40'11"! I can't imagine anyone toodling around using it for camping,or even full timing. Yikes! We were thinking about getting one for some property we have up in Shasta, California. And parking it!

When we were leaving the COE campground we stayed at last weekend, a probably 37' Sandpiper was backing into a spot.

My son has a 35' double-slide Cougar TT and they use it frequently, towed by a crew cab Duramax. My BIL has a 35' Montana Mountaineer TT, used a couple of times a month during the spring, summer and fall, towed by an crew cab Powerstroke. Our TT is 32' 6", used very frequently year round, pulled by a 6.0L crew cab GMC. The longest TT I have seen frequently at our favorite COE CG is a 38' older trailer, pulled by a crew cab Cummins. None of these report any problems towing the trailers. Occasionally they have a little difficulty backing the long rigs into back-in sites with trees close to the camping loop road or campsite driveway.

my 32' (35'6 over all-56'10 combined) goes all over with me. usually week ends at 1 of 3 local st parks that i know where i'll fit but vacations are anywhere and so far no problem. usually stay at private(full hook up) CG's for vacation but i do let em know my size when booking and in 3 trips(once at a COE CG) i've not been turned away or had problems getting into a site.
biggest problem i have run into are utility poles and trees to get the 2 slides out on 1 side and being able to get the awning out on the other. just have to be a little more presciese on where/how ya park it.

I pull my 16 foot fun finder all over the place, oh that's right size does matter. I just love my tiny trailer, I don't think I could pull a 20 footer it would just be way to big......
