But with that being said, I don't agree about damaging Rotochoks. I don't see how it could happen, nothing to mess up really and if they ever do, Mrs. Pearl would take care of them. Although I've looked and inspected the BAL chocks and could see how they could break in several different ways. Too many moving parts.

My only concern was since they use a strap material would be varmits chewing through it.. I leave my TT parked on an incline for ~7 months in a row... If I lose a chock it is a big deal...

I worked with Pearl to retrofit my FIL's set for the new trailer when his tires were closed together, they are a very cool product..

One of these days I'll pony up the cash for a set of RotoChoks. But for now, I'm using the cheapy yellow plastic one's from C.W. They seem to be doing the trick.
I'm sure in a true test the RotoChoks would way out perform the plastic job's.

The thing about Rotochocks is that they offer a positive lock on the tires. If you forget to remove them and attempt to move your rig, the tires will slide.

Been using them for 4 years now and the real benefit you will realize is; once they're in place, the wheels don't move. Doesn't matter the level of incline you've parked on; the wheels do not turn. They're very good.

Roto-choks.
Very correct, once in place: wheels won't turn. Skid/slide/slip, maybe, but turn: NO.

They have a grooved surface to grip on the tire, not slip like a smooth metal surface will do.

Fantastic!!!!!!!!

The benefit over a block behind the wheel is that the wheels don't move with RotoChoks reducing movement inside the RV.

I also balked at the price and made my own using 4x4 scraps and threaded rod. The problem was that my home-made choks would get stuck between the wheels and were very difficult to remove. I finally treated myself to a set of Rotochoks and like them a lot. Easy on and easy off.

When we upgraded our rig the wheel spacing changed and I just bought the kit for the new inserts for the new wheel spacing.

We started with the big orange Lynx wedge, which had no holding power at all when it came to hitch or unhitching. We decided to try the scissor type from Camping World; they didn't fit properly. We returned those and phoned Pearl with our measurements. We are so pleased with the ease of putting Rotochoks on and off and the material they're made of. I know many have said they purchased the Rotochok for lessening the movement of the trailer, but for us it is the comfort in knowing our 5'er will stay put while hitching or unhitching ~ the stability is just a bonus.

Due to "Old Author" in the fingers the threaded rod is out. The Roto Chock is a snap to put on with bum fingers.
