Hi. Heading out tomorrow and just discovered that my McKesh towing mirrors don't fit on my 05 Durango. (I know....should not have left it to the last minute.......there is not enough clearance between the glass and the weather stripping) Stock mirrors seem to give a pretty good rear view. Anyone else out there tow with just the stock mirrors or suggest some other set up?
Thanks in advance.

I tow with an 04 Durango. I use CIPA Universal Tow Mirrors I picked up at Camping World. They were the only ones I can find that I thought were secure enough that could fit. If adjusted correctly, no vibration, and they worked well. I would really suggest that you get some kind of tow mirror, as the stock mirrors didnt extend far enough for me to see the next lane while driving.

Thanks for your reply Vmark. Ah....looks like we kinda jumped the gun there a little. After our 2nd or 3rd attempt, we figured it out. Had the weather stripping on the wrong side of the glass!! DAAAAHHHHH!! Too much of a hurry I guess!
Thanks!!

Give it another try. I have McKesh mirrors, and they work fine with my '05 Dakota (which I thought was the same as a Durango?). Good luck; camp on!

I have a '04 Dakota with factory tow package that includes larger mirrors. I have no problem with the factory tow mirrors. Wish I had these mirrors on DW's Sebring.
