We're theatre people. In fact, my son's performance starts in almost an hour. He's 16 and has spent his whole summer at the theatre - first in Cabaret, then helping with summer camp, now doing Into the Woods. Love it!

"You have to write the book that wants to be written. And if the book will be too difficult for grown-ups, then you write it for children."

Yes, I love live theater. My daughter and I go to Playhouse on the Square in Memphis to see shows (Hair and Amadeus among our favorites); took my granddaughter there to see Grease for her 13th birthday. I've also seen West Side Story at the Fox Theater in Atlanta.
Here in our rather small town, we have a few shows during the year. This is the birthplace of Tennessee Williams, and Richard Thomas (John Boy from the Waltons) will be here in September as part of a festival.
Thanks, all.
I think live theater is usually much better than a movie, altho movies have their place.
It is good to check your local college's schedule. Most theater depts. have end of semester productions that can be quite good. I'm not into the "heavy" dramas, but when a comedy or musical comes up, I'll be there if the sched allows it. Trying to go to Pajama Game this weekend at Foothill College in Redwood City (?).
