Went up to Kansas to visit family. Took the back roads and enjoyed every mile.
We saw a critter on the way.

Than he saw us.

Stayed at Claton Lake NE New Mexico.

View from the road to the lake.

Found a nice site.

The next morning hiked to the spillway to see the dino tracks.

Got down the road and tried to recharge the TC.

Nice of Kansas to turn on the fans to keep the temps down, it did have 40mph tail wind helping.

Kansas farm road.

Close to my families home is the cabin where the song "Home on the Range" was written.

View of the creek below the cabin.

Well there was a Tear Drop TC on yard near the cabin.

Guess they found their "Home on the Range".

We had a great time.

Added to Trip Reports

Nicely illustrated, and with some nice wildlife, too

Cheers,

Thanks for sharing your trip. I particularly liked the photo of your camper in front of the wind turbine. Almost made it look like you had the new Snowriver wind generator option.

well about 100 years ago when I lived in Iowa, we had weeds there that looked an awfully lot like Mary Jane, but unfortunately didn't smoke the same.
