We have an 08 Roo 23SS, and have brought out the bunk end fan/light combo that came with the trailer. However, we're having trouble keeping the fan running. The problem seems to be mostly on the "Hi" setting, it will run for a few seconds and then slowly lose power and totally quit. One will run on "low", the other won't even do that. Anybody else have trouble running these?

This is a VERY COMMON problem with the ones FR supplies. Many of us are on our 3rd set! This last replacement, I struck a deal with my dealer to get FR to authorize replacement value, which I then applied towards a different brand that looks very much the same but has a good reputation for the difference of $9 each fan/light.

Several Roo owners have had issues with their fans similiar to yours. Most have had them replaced under warranty. I have not had had issues with mine, but because of these message boards, I also had them run for 5 to 10 minutes during checkout to make sure they didn't have this issue.

We had to have one changed out in our Palomino for the same reason. So far the replacement is holding up. Nice to know that it is a common problem and to watch for it.

Ours are now starting to do this midway into the 4th season. Time to pull one apart and see why.

Have 2008 Roo 183 and have the same trouble with 2 of the 3 that came with the trailer. I have mine at the dealer for a couple other minor things and they are replacing them under warranty, but it sounds like this won't be the last time we have trouble!

It's the high speed that stops running after a while so it may be a heat issue. A good after-Labor Day project.

The low speed on one of my fans quits after about 45 minutes. The dealer said he'd replace it.

Hmmm same thing happened on our second trip, low speed is dead...

I'm glad to know this is a common problem.

Could it possibly be the power socket itself rather than the lights?

Mine does the same thing also.
