We travel with a Cuisinart convection toaster oven. It is not as large as some, but large enough for a small chicken or meatloaf, a 12 inch pizza, muffins, or biscuits. It makes good toast and you can use the convection or not. It is has a bagel feature as well as a broil. We use one in our house more than the range oven. It has a three year warranty and has a very high consumer rating.
I bought one from Linens 'n Things foe about $60 on sale around 3 1/2 years ago to use in our concession trailer. Never got a chance to use it, but unpacked it and put it into our 5th wheel before we left home on Monday to use on this 3 week trip. I have a combination regular/convection oven at home and thought this would get more use than the gas oven in the RV.
I have one, Europro brand, that i have had for so long I can't remember what it cost. Not too much. I use it every day for everything. I have an 8 inch cast iron pan that I make corn bread for two in. After preheating the skillet, it cooks in less than 20 minutes. However, it would be a little large for my B at 16 by 10 by 10 inches.
Got mine at Wally World - I think it's a B & D and it was over $100 - can't remember but was willing to pay for this one - the best one there. We love it! It's also very classy looking if that matters to anyone. It just so happens to blend perfectly with my other appliances. It does cook faster than a reg. oven, so turn it down by that 25 deg. as another poster said. Our reg. oven is so hot we don't use it in this Texas heat. Plus the toaster oven is so much more convenient - quicker, higher up, no lighting of a reg. oven. You won't be sorry you bought it but go big or go home as they say...I bought another cheaper one and it was horrible.
